DevOps Clarified
DevOps is not about deployment with Docker/K8. It is a set of practices that enable frequent high-quality production releases. Most of DevOps efforts are on Continuous Testing.

This article is one of the “IT Terminology Clarified” series.
DevOps has been a buzzword in the IT world since 2018. According to Wikipedia, “DevOps is a set of practices that combines software development (Dev) and IT operations (Ops). It aims to shorten the systems development life cycle and provide continuous delivery with high software quality.”
“By 2020, DevOps initiatives will cause 50% of enterprises to implement continuous testing using frameworks and open-source tools.” — Predicts 2017: Gartner Report

But from this, we can tell that many people don’t understand DevOps. This article will try to clarify it.
