Medium is a great platform to read and write. Medium (paid) members read content from Medium writers (who joined the Partner Program) and a portion of their membership funds the creators writing.

Six days ago, Medium announced some changes:

• Medium membership will now be a prerequisite for joining the Medium Partner Program.
  If you have the intention of earning money from your writing on Medium in the future, you’ll need to enroll as a paid member, with an annual cost of $50.. (a paid Medium member can read all contents, regardless of authors)
  This will start from August 1st, 2023, i.e., in a few days.
• Medium creators are no longer receiving rewards for referring people to get Medium Memberships.
  This will start from September 1st, 2023. After that, no more referral bonuses.

While this won’t affect existing members of the Partner Program, like me, I think it is a good (and limited) time to support your favourite writer: join Medium’s membership via his/her referral link. I just did it.
