I have rescued many failed test automation with the most frameworks you mentioned. At all cases, Selenium is much better, with 10X - 100X productivity. I do think Selenium is absolute in web test automation.

In the later article in the series, I will explain. Here, Selenium, I mean a framework (or library), not Selenium IDE or Selenium Grid (which I don't like).

The so-called 'some minor disadvantages' of Selenium can be overcomed with test tools (e.g. TestWise, BuildWise) easily, resulting much better than so-called new features, e.g. auto-wait, parallel mode. When the test suite is large, e.g. 500+ E2E tests, maintaining test execution daily, which is highly challenging amid frequent app changes, the greatness of Selenium Ruby shine!
