Is Medium Now Flooded with Many New Zombie Accounts?

Or, I maybe somehow unknowingly cracked the code to attract followers on Medium, which is unlikely. It is hard to explain a recent huge jump in my followers on Medium.

My Medium tech blog targets a niche audience interested in:

• End-to-end (vi UI) Test Automation
• Continuous Testing
• Software Side hustle or pursue to be a Micro-ISV

Additionally, my primary motivation for writing is to share my experiences with my daughter and for my personal fulfillment.

As a result, my writing style is very direct (totally independent), which may not appeal to a broad audience. Since late last month (May 2024), I’ve noticed a significant increase in followers.

As you can see from the above stats, before May, there was an average of just over 100 new followers each month, for about 2 years.
