Maybe I was destined to do Test Automation in Agile Way
Life sometimes has unexplainable coincidences.
Most of my articles are technical. Today is April 1st. Let me share something more relaxed and interesting (real, though).
A Career in Test Automation was not unplanned
My current job title: E2E Test Automation Coach.
My interest in programming started in high school (1988), and I attended the state’s youth programming competitions (won 2nd and 3rd prizes, respectively).
Naturally, I opted for a Computer Science major at university. Back then, computers were still seen as a relatively new thing in China. Apart from top-tier universities, the study of computer science was often housed within existing faculties like Mathematics or Engineering. At my university, it fell under the umbrella of the “Faculty of Automation”.
Despite hearing the word ‘Automation’ thousands of times during my 4-year university time, the meaning does not register with me at all. As far as I was concerned then, programming would be my career.
