This is an open question in a casual fashion. The goal is to check whether the candidate has done real test automation: executing automated tests multiple times a day. Failing to answer Step9 is not deciding factor for hiring. I will assess their personal attributes from this simple exercise. However, no offence, I would prefer “Oh, I didn’t think about that” over your answer. Setting the password back is just one of many solutions, I expect my mentees to grasp the core concept quickly. “Setting password back” is just a quick lead to the problem. For example, the 2 approaches (not setting password back) from the other 2 comments are acceptable, not perfect, but acceptable. Astute readers might also figure out the reason I show setting password steps: handling possible failures there is needed too. I encouraged creativity, which is an important and fun part of test automation.

Anyway, my daughter’s next-week article will show her 4 approaches.
